Warwick Greenwood 16s defeated Edgewater Waneroo Falcons
13 - 7 = 84 to 9 - 3 = 57 Today the 16s played four quarters of hard football to win the elimination final against Edgewater Wanneroo. It was a great team win! We controlled the game from the start, and kept the pressure on the opposition. Mitchell Cameron was brilliant at full forward taking strong marks and kicking straight for goals. The captain, Jayden, and vice-captain Curtis were outstanding, leading from the front. Great games by Liam Buchanan and Mitchell Reid in all positions. Jesse Kirwen was full of guts and determination as he played all day with an injury, and never gave in. Jack Manera and Michael Hoskins were superb in defence. So we will see you at training on Tuesday and Thursday and of course next Sunday for another crack at Carine and a shot at a grand final win. The whole team played well today so I cannot single out individual mention. Well done everyone! Thanks Jomei and Jake today for supporting your team.

Today we finished the home and away season like we started, beating North Beach for the third time this season. The Knights 16s have won 14 out of 15 games this season, well done to you all! Today we played hard football. Jomei Rihari, Jayden Roth and Liam Buchanan were outstanding all day. Also great efforts by Curtis Dickson, Mitchell Reid, Jackson Chadd and Jack Manera. Les Payne was fantastic in the ruck all day, well done mate! Everybody in this team played well today. This leaves us in a good position for the finals and a chance to play in the grand final for the second year in a row.
I would like to thank all the parents who put their hands up so our team can play each week. It has been a pleasure to coach this team for the last three years. I have really enjoyed it! Every one of these young men is a credit to their parents and the Warwick Greenwood Junior Football Club. Let’s give it our all in the finals, good luck!

Warwick Greenwood 11-8=74 def Karrinyup Saints 4 - 8 = 32
Today the weather played a major part in this game, the wind was unpredictable at both ends of the ground. We let Karrinyup into the game, by not enough talking or hard pressure tackling. In the second half of the game we lifted and stopped Karrinyup from playing attacking football. Great four quarter efforts from Mitchell Reid, Jayden Roth and Jomei Rihari kept us in control of the game. Another great game in defence by Michael Hoskins and Zac Rogers. A terrific run down by Michael Mills kept up the team spirit, well done Michael! Also a great game by Curtis Lee in defence. We need to keep focused for our last game of the home and away season against North Beach.

Warwick Greenwood 11-11=77 def Carine Cats 6 - 6 = 42
Today we played four quarters of hard football. The Carine cats are a very good side but we outplayed them, we out ran them and we held them off for the first half of the game - 5-5=35 to 3-4=22. They came back in the third quarter Kicking 3-1=19 to 0-2=2, but in the last quarter, we stood up and played hard, tackled hard and out ran the cats, kicking 6-4=40 to their 0-1=1. That is how you can win finals football! It’s self-belief in your team and your team mates. It was a superb effort by all. Curtis Dickson was b.o.g, he worked hard all day. A great defensive four quarter effort by Michael Hoskins, Jjack Manera and Curtis Lee. Tom Manera and Jordan Robinson - great work. Jayden Roth, Jomei Rihari and Liam Buchanan also played well. Great marking and goal kicking by Mitchell Cameron. Well done to Josh Flegg on two great goals in a half of footy. So all I can say to finish, you’re a great team and you deserved this win.

Warwick Greenwood defeated Kingsley Cats at Ellersdale
Very pleased with boys today. The little things like shepherding and tackling as well as running to support their team mates was fantastic to watch. The link up play and handball was a feature as well as their accuracy in front of goal. Good effort all round and hopefully we can finish the season in this manner.

Warwick Greenwood 13-9=87 def Northern Cobras
Today was one of the hardest games this group of players have contested. We won the first and last quarters and were out played in the second quarter 3-2=20 to 3-7=25 and the third 3-1=19 to 4-6=30. But four quarter efforts from Jayden Roth, Mitchell Reid, and Curtis Dickson kept us in the game. Jack Manera’s defensive game was outstanding, along with Michael Hoskins’. Welcome back, Michael, you played hard all day-well done! Jackson Chadd worked hard in the centre and forward the whole game. This week is going to be very hard at training and I expect everyone to be there for both sessions, no excuses. We need to lift big time to beat Carine Cats at Hawker next week. Do not forget your mouth guards!

Warwick Greenwood 10-12=72 def Quinns Bulls 5-5=35
Well, winter arrived today - rain and a 25 knot wind blowing straight across the ground. We started slow and let Quinns stay with us in the first quarter before we started to man up in the second and play our brand of footy. The rain came and we controlled the play after that, going in hard to get the ball. A great four quarter effort by Curtis Dickson, Jayden Roth, Mitchell Reid and Jomei Rihari, who kept us in the game at times. Also great defensive games from Curtis Lee, Tom Manera and Jordan Robinson. Great attacking games by Jesse Kirwen, Liam Buchanan and Josh Flegg. Let’s keep the hard work going and finish the season well, the break is over. Great work today!

Away to Carine Cougars
In blustery conditions today it was always going to be a tough game of footy against a team who has lost one game in 3 years. To the boys' credit the commitment and attack on the footy was as good as it has been all year. The way they tackled and looked after one another was very pleasing to see . Well done to all the fellas on a great team effort.

Knights 20 - 8 = 128 defeated North Beach Tigers 3 - 2 = 20 First of all , congratulations to Jackson Chadd on being the first player in this team to reach his 125th game for the Warwick Greenwood Junior Football Club , well done mate! This team played four quarters from the start. To make Jacko’s day, Jackson was b.o.g and he led by example playing hard and racking up possessions and goals all day. Great games by Jomei Rihari, Jayden Roth, Jesse Kirwen and Thomas Thyne. Chris McGuire was fantastic in the ruck and other positions. We are at the halfway mark of the season and if we keep our fitness high and our injuries low, keep improving our game plan and learning from our mistakes, we can be part of the final series. Great team game today well done to all.

Versus Sorrento Duncraig Dolphins at Seacrest East
Today we came up against a team who we have drawn with in the last two games, so we were expecting another close game. Being evenly matched for the last year or so it was interesting to see how both teams had improved with their tackling shepherding and around skill level. Very enjoyable came to watch well done to both sides
